The editors, authors of the Dragonlance Chronicles and Legends, present this volume as a collection of their favorite fantasy short stories. All of these stories are apparently reprints, and some are anthologized elsewhere. The earliest seems to be Theodore Sturgeon's “Shottle Bop”, and some were copyright as late as 1996. Someone who keeps up with fantasy short stories has probably seen a great many of these, but I am not a great one for short stories, and I had read only a couple. Most of the stories are quite good. Even the ones that I don't like are generally because I don't like that type of story, not because the writing was bad. I thought the volume was well worth while. Margaret Weis also edited A Magic Lover's Treasury of the Fantastic, which has a number of the same authors.

I have listed the contents in the description.
