Though sold as an account of Bengals arsenic water as the worst poisoning in history Meharg leads further into arsenic troubles. One problem examined is the inability of the English eighteen century society to recognize the health effect of arsenic mining and use. The otherwise highly estimed William Morris is especially put on target. ( )
