The opening section on Lovell et al is particularly interesting. His fascination with the software that has produced the (to us) incredibly primitive computer images of the greening of Mars is rather sweet. The Vista on my basic laptop has better pictures as the desktop background! Overall, a very enjoyable read. ( )
