About My Library

The Library at St. Gregory's Abbey Began in 2018 when many volumes of religion and philosophy were transferred from the St. Gregory's University Library as the university had closed. The collection is currently being cataloged by the monks with the help of librarians who were familiar with the collection at the time of the university closure.

About Me

St. Gregory's Abbey is a Roman Catholic monastery of the American-Cassinese Congregation of the Benedictine Confederation. The monastery was founded by monks of the French monastery of Sainte-Marie de la Pierre-qui-Vire in 1876. At present the community numbers sixteen monks who celebrate the Eucharist and Liturgy of the Hours.

The abbey is located in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
