2021 movie #192. 2007. In 1960, Laura (Moore) is the only female executive at a London diamond firm. When she learns she's about to be let go, she joins a janitor (Caine) in a plot to steal diamonds. A great heist film with a good twist at the end. As usual, Caine is great here.
An interesting adaptation set firmly in time and place, with an emphasis on anti-Semiticism. Pacino is moving as a Jew who cracks under one injury too many. Iron's antisemite is the more disturbing because he is decent in other aspects of his life.
