A clever, funny and somewhat touching story with Spider-Man and Wolverine, as Logan invites him to a local bar for a night out. This is followed by a very well-done inter-dimensional story with Spidey and the Fantastic Four, filled with humor and dramatic tension between Spidey and Johnny Storm, in which we learn how our boy used a combination of magic and technology to put the genie of his exposed secret identity back in the bottle. The FF convince Spidey to once more trust them with his secret, and they return to Earth. However, the time difference between the two dimensions is such that 2 months have gone by on Earth, versus a day or so in the other dimension. So while Pete was gone, we see that Harry and Carlie Cooper have begun a relationship, as have Jonah Jameson and his estranged wife, and Norah Winters and Randy Robertson, and Jay Jameson (Jonah's father) and Aunt May. Oh, and Jonah Jameson has been elected mayor of New York City. Also, while Pete was gone his apartment was sublet to Vince Gonzalez's sister, Michelle, who is Peter's new roommate. And there's a new Vulture in town, who spews acid. Another very chock-full book. ( )
