To be fair, I was tired and overworked so I didn't have much extra time to devote to the required readings for one of my courses. But I did try with this text, considering how I knew nothing about PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL prior to this course. However, I never even made it past the first chapter. This is not a very friendly text if you aren't already fairly well versed in technology terminology. This book may have a better audience well suited to it, but for me, it did nothing.
